Ordering Morris United Premier Team Uniforms   Return to Top

Morris United Soccer Club has contracted with ADIDAS and SoccerZone USA to provide for Premier team's uniform needs. Morris United uniforms (designs) are good for 2 seasons. Uniforms ordered for the 2017/2018 season will be good through the 2018/2019 season. New and existing players can click here to order new or replacement kit. Uniform numbers will be assigned by the club, and are not required when placing your order. All players are required to have home and away game day uniforms (jersey, shorts, socks) and a club training jersey which is to be worn at all practice sessions with black shorts and black socks.

The following documents are required for players and coaches to be registered with NJ Youth Soccer for MCYSA. New forms must be completed each year. A complete listing of NJYSA Forms can be found here: http://www.mcysa.org/home.php?layout=271395. Coaches should contact the MUSC registrar(s) for instructions on how, when and where to submit registration forms

  3. SAGE Pledge Form
  4. Legible Copy of Birth Certificate or other Approved Government Document with Child's Age (i.e. Passport)
  5. Headshot Photo of Player
  6. U11+ Player Concussion Baseline Test*:click here
    • All U-11 and above players must complete the online concussion baseline test to be eligible to play.
    • The test takes ~30 minutes and must be completed in one uninterrupted session.
    • You will need to deactivate Pop-up Blockers in your Security settings.
    • The results of the baseline test are useful to doctors in the event of any potential concussion situation.
    • Morris United recommends that Players take this test every two years.

    • Under the School/Organization category, choose "Morris United Soccer Club" from the drop down list.
    • Follow the provided instructions
    • Print a copy of the completed form and provide it to your coach/team manager

Pre-Game Day Instructions

  1. Fielding Lining: The first team playing on a field is responsible for ensuring the field is lined
  2. Corner Flags: Each team is responsible for providing their own corner flags
  3. Notifying Opponents: Home teams should email opponents to confirm game time and locations, uniform colors, exchange of phone numbers and other relevant logistics
  4. Understanding Modifications to the Laws of the Game: Make sure you understand the modifications to the Laws of the Game for your age group.

Game Day Instruction

  1. Game Day Paperwork: Ensure you have player and coaches passes, a certified copy of your roster, and copies of the coaches concussion certificate, coaches F license and player medical forms.
  2. Game Card: Ensure game card is completed accurately by the referee
  3. Referee No Show: Home team is responsible for contacting the referee coordinator. Ensure Andy Steer and John Gilfillan are also contacted. Referee coordinator phone number appears on the game card

Post-Game Instructions:

  1. Posting Results: Ensure scores are posted to MCYSA website - http://www.mcysa.org/schedules_and_standings
  2. Complete Game Report: .Complete a game report for each game played - http://www.mcysa.org/schedules_and_standings
  3. Notify the Travel VP of any issues at Games

Morris United Recreation Program Forms, Links & Procedures

The following two documents are required to be completed for every player in recreation soccer and are to be kept by the team's head coach. SAGE (:"Set a Good Example") forms are to be signed by each player and at least one parent/guardian.

    Lightning / Thunder

    • If lightning is observed or thunder is heard, practices and games MUST be suspended and players, coaches and spectators should seek safe shelter
    • Play may only resume 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard or lightning is observed.

    Equipment / Uniform Pick-up and Return

    • Equipment pick-up date is set each year near the first week of practices
    • Equipment pick-up date is mandatory for all teams. Please make arrangements for someone from your team to pick-up your equipment
    • Equipment return is the last day of the season. Team equipment must be returned before trophies or medals are released to teams
    • On the last day of the season MUSC will collect used soccer uniforms for donation

    Signing up for Practice Fields (Divisions 6-3 Only)

    • Coaches will receive an email from the Recreation Soccer Director with instructions to sign-up for Practice Fields
    • Sign-up is First Come First Serve
    • Each TEAM should sign-up for only one session (Field and Day)
    • Practices are typically held one day per week for one hour.

    Signing up for Trainer Sessions (Division 6 Only)

    • Division 6 Coaches will receive an email from the Recreation Soccer Director with instructions to sign-up for Trainer Sessions
    • Professional Trainer Sessions will be every other week for each team for the first 6 weeks of the season (3 sessions per team)
    • Professional Trainer Sessions are held at Thomas Jefferson School

    Team Rosters

    • Team rosters are set by the division director for each division
    • All changes to team rosters MUST be made through the division director
    • Requests by parents to change teams because of conflicts with other activities cannot be honored

    Conducting Practice Sessions

    • Coaches will receive weekly emails from YouthSoccer 101 with suggested practice plans appropriate for the age group they are coaching
    • Morris United will provide coaches with a free coaches clinic near the beginning of the season

    Registering for Coaches "F License"

    • Coaches will receive an email from the Recreation Soccer Director with instructions on how to register for a Coaches F License
    • F Licenses are suggested but not required for recreation coaches
    • Registration Fee for a coach to receive her/his "F License" will be reimbursed upon completion of the course

    Completing End of Year Player Evaluations

    • Coaches will receive an email from the Recreation Soccer Director with instructions to complete and end of year evaluation for each player on their roster
    • Evaluations are used to help Division Diectors form teams at future ages
