Welcome to Morris United Travel Soccer

Morris United Travel Soccer is the travel arm of Morris United. Morris United provides recreational and travel soccer teams to over 1500 children in Morristown, Morris Township, Morris Plains and the surrounding towns. Morris United is a private, non-profit club that works closely with the local recreation departments and school districts to provide and maintain fields and facilities for our program.

Jean St is CLOSED. All games scheduled to play on Jean St will play on F2. All other fields are OPEN.

Morris United Wizards Win!

The Morris United Wizards won the U18 Boys State Cup on Sunday defeating Delran United 2-1 in overtime. Congratulations to the team and their hard work.

STA Program Plans to Expand in 2008
During the 2006-2007 Season, Morris United joined forces with the Sonesoccer Training Academy to form the Morris United STA program. The STA program provides Academy level teams at Morris United. The teams are trained full time by Sonesoccer trainers and compete in competitive leagues such as MAPS or JAGS. Get the Facts about Morris Townships Field Turf Plan
Morris Township is working on a plan to build two new turf fields off Rt 202 in Morris Township. Get the facts about the plan including the proposed site layout on Morris Township's Website. The complex will house local youth sports leagues such as Morris United Soccer and the Colonial Lacrosse teams.

Morris United Goalie Training
Morris United will again provide goalie specific training to is members. All current Morris United Players are eligible to attend the goalie training. Training will be held weekly:
Full Sided Training (U11 and up) - Mondays 6:30-8:00pm at Ketch field
Small Sided Training (U8 - U10) - Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm at Ketch field

Jean St Field Official Opening
Morris United and Morris Township dedicated Jean St Field on Sunday. In attendance were members of the Morris United Board, Morris Township Council, and the Mayor. Mayor Nace was assisted by a number of players in cutting the ribbon for the field.

Metrostars Win at Ramapo
The Morris United Metrostars (U14 Boys) won their bracket of the Ramapo Labor Day tournament. The Metrostars went 4-0 over the weekend to secure 1st place.

STA Screaming Eagles finish 3rd in San Marino
The Morris United STA Screaming Eagles participated in the San Marino tournament in July. During the tournament they faced teams from Saudi Arabia, Italy, Sweden, and Germany. The girls lost in the semi-finals but won the following game to take 3rd place in the tournament.

Know Your Soccer Rules!

From Law 17 - Corner Kicks
A corner kick is a method of restarting play.
A goal may be scored directly from a corner kick, but only against the opposing team.
A corner kick is awarded when: the whole of the ball, having last touched a player of the defending team, passes over the goal line, either on the ground or in the air, and a goal is not scored in accordance with Law 10.
Procedure
The ball is placed inside the corner arc at the nearest corner flagpost.
The corner flagpost is not moved.
Opponents remain at least 9.15 m (10 yds) from the corner arc until the ball is in play.
The ball is kicked by a player of the attacking team.
The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves.
The kicker does not play the ball a second time until it has touched another player.
